Recipes from My Little Prairie Home
There is no denying that the heart of every pioneer home was the kitchen. Food was more than just pleasure or habit, it was the focus of serious attention. Settlers needed a significant amount of calories to fuel their heavy labor and guard against cold in their very non-centrally heated homes. Itís not a surprise, therefore, that their typical daily fare was heavy on rich, heavy, sweet, and creamy foods.
Not all of our Pioneer Recipes require an appointment with your cardiologist and personal trainer, though, so feel free to enjoy our culinary trip back in time!
